About App

Grand Dunes Entry Systems are installed at apartments and buildings with a touch screen panel to allow the residents to see, talk, and grant access to the guests. For example, guests standing at the front door are captured by the Live Webcam and displayed to the resident on the screen, making them decide on their entry.

The app works with IoT devices and IT door systems. The app receives a video call when the guest rings the doorbell. It helps the resident choose whether they would like to allow the guest entry. The resident can also talk directly with the guest at the front door using the app.

Whether you consider it from the security point of view or for your privacy, this app works excellently with the installed Grand Dues Entry System to help you choose the entry of the guests. You can also talk to the guests from your living room and save time by meeting them personally.

Requirements

The client approached us to design a highly secure IoT-based door entry system that helps the residents interact with the guest without allowing them in. In addition, the client specifically added that he would like to have the residents receive a video call as soon as the guests ring the doorbell. Another requirement we received from the client’s end was designing a single app that works for iOS and Android users.

App Challenges

IConsidering the essential requirements from the client side, it was evident to design this IoT-based application considering SIP + WebRTC protocols. Therefore, one of the significant challenges was designing the IoT design commute that integrates SIP + WebRTC with mobile and building an SDK for iOS and Android.

Solutions We Offer

We designed a secure yet interactive SIP + WebRTC-based door entry application. Also, we managed media traffic in Stun and Turn server which is hosted on-premises. Nevertheless, we work on the Asterisk SIP backend and manage call logs and recording and call conformance.

Secure Login

Securely login into the app by entering the IP/domain name and code for GD Entry Systems.

In-App Video Calling

Doorbell integration with in-app video calling displays the guest’s picture via a Live Webcam.

Lock/Unlock Door

Lock and unlock the door of your residence from the application. It is as easy as that.

Let In/End Option

As you receive the video call, choose the let in, talk, or end option as per your choice.
